You sacrifice a number humanoids to return a dead creature to life. Make a religion check with a DC of 20 + the creatures level. If the creature's soul is both willing and at liberty to rejoin the land of the living, you gain a +5 to the religion check. If the creature is not willing or at liberty to be revived, you gain a +1 to your religion check.
If one of the sacrificed creatures are willing to be sacrificed you gain a +5 to your religion check. If one of the sacrificed creatures is not willing, you gain a +1 to your religion check. If this spell is being performed on a vile alter or in a vile ritual circle, you gain a +5 to your religion check. If the creature you are reviving is evil in nature, you gain +5 to your religion check.
This spell also neutralizes any poisons, cures, diseases that affected the creature at the time it died.
This spell closes all mortal wounds, and it restores missing body parts.
Coming back from the dead is an ordeal. The target takes a −4 penalty to all attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks. Every time the target finishes a long rest, the penalty is reduced by 1 until it disappears.
