Your touch causes a willing creature to heal faster than they might otherwise.

For the duration, whenever the target gains hit points through healing, whether from spells, magic items, or spending hit dice, they gain an additional die of healing.

Thus, drinking a potion of healing restores 2d4 + 2 + 1d4 hit points, and so on.
