This is a ritual to transform a mortal to a lich
First you will lay your hand on the phylactery and chant ancient words only known by the greatest demon, any lich, or the greatest celestial.
Second you will draw a magic circle out of the chalk
Third you will stab the dagger into yourself and let your blood flow onto the phylactery
Finally you will shout out the last word and your soul will flow from your body
After the spell you drop to exhaustion level 5
After this all the plants within in 5 miles will wither and all animals and humanoids other than you will die
Instantly your alignment changes to evil.
When the spell is finished you become a lich
Your type switches undead and your intelligence increases by 8 to a maximum of 20
You gain the legendary resistance, rejuvenation, turn resistance, and legendary actions of a lich
In addition you gain a lair of your choice and you can use lair actions.

Posted Feb 3, 2021A bit of advice on using the ritual tag, a 9th level ritual is pretty unbalanced, saving you a ninth level spell slot for just ten minutes extra casting time. You really shouldn't use the ritual tag on any spell above 5th level tops. Also, putting the ritual tag on a spell that already has a massive casting time is pretty pointless. If you've already spent 6 hours casting the spell, then the extra ten minutes is basically free.
