You channel primal magic to cause your teeth, fists, or fingernails to increase in potency. Make a number of melee spell attacks equal to the number of melee attacks you can make based on your class features and beneficial spells. For example a 5th level ranger could make two melee spell attacks and a 5th level ranger under the effects of the Haste spell could make three melee spell attacks. Effects that allow you to add additional damage or effects on melee attacks such as Hunters Mark or Searing Smite can be applied by the melee spell attacks created by this spell.
On a hit, the target takes 1d6 + your spellcasting modifier acid, slashing, or bludgeoning damage (your choice each time you cast the spell).
The spell’s damage die increases to 1d8 when you reach 5th level, increase to 1d10 at 11th level, and 1d12 at 17th level.
