You channel primal magic into your longbow or shortbow to increase the potency of your ranged attacks. Make a number of ranged spell attacks equal to the number of melee attacks you can make based on your class features and beneficial spells.  For example a 5th level ranger could make two ranged spell attacks and a 5th level ranger under the effects of the Haste spell could make three ranged spell attacks.  Effects that allow you to add additional damage or effects on ranged attacks such as Hunters Mark or Ensnaring Strike can be applied by the melee spell attacks created by this spell.  Casting this spell does not consume arrows, the ammunition is magically created by the spell.  Ammunition created by this spell ceases to exist at the end of the turn.

On a hit, the target takes 1d6 + your spellcasting modifier piercing, fire, or lightning damage (your choice each time you cast the spell). 

The spell’s damage die increases to 1d8 when you reach 5th level, increase to 1d10 at 11th level, and 1d12 at 17th level.
