Your patron from among the stars has granted you a servant, a familiar of sorts to aid you in your travels. Unlike the familiar used by the practitioners of arcane magic, this familiar is a bit more unique. This familiar will typically take on the appearance of an animal of your choice upon its first summoning, and it will definitely appear to be that animal at first glance. Though there may be a few odd details here and there, an extra eye, extra leg, slimy coating instead of fur. It will resemble that of an aliens depiction of the animal rather than the animal itself. Though even with this the familiar will be quite loyal to the summoner.
Now, the familiar is capable of acting independently of you but it will always listen to any commands you give it. In combat it will roll its own initiative and act on its turn. This familiar will not attack but it can still take other actions as normal.
If the familiar is dropped to 0 hit points it will disappear in a small burst of light. You will need to wait until a short rest has been taken to summon your familiar again, but once you have done so you may cast the spell again to summon the familiar. Now, while it is summoned you can use an action to make it disappearing into a pocket dimension for safe keeping. Now whilst it’s gone you can use another action to make it reappear in an unoccupied space within 20 feet of you. Once this familiar reaches 0 hit points or is dismissed it drops anything that had been given to it.
One advantage of this familiar is you have the ability to communicate with it telepathically, although it does not speak any known language you and it will instinctively understand each other’s words. Whilst it is in 100 feet of you you can take advantage of this to speak with it telepathically, and as an action you can look through your familiars eyes, hear through its ears, as well as the other corresponding senses. Whilst you use the senes of your familiar your own body will lose these senses.
Only one familiar of this sort can be summoned at a time.
Now, twice per day your familiar may act as an extension of you and use a spell in your stead as long as it is in 100 feet of you. It will count as a usage on your behalf when you cast a spell this way still.
