Avenlea's Oozing Body

You touch one willing creature that you can see within range. Until the spell ends the creature's body along with anything it is wearing or carrying appears to be composed of oozing gelatinous fluid.

While the spell is active the target is immune to lightning and slashing damage and has a climbing speed equal to its walking speed.

While the spell is active the target can move through spaces as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.

When a creature under the effect of the spell that is Medium or larger is subjected to lightning or slashing damage, they can use a reaction to divide their body. When they do so, the creature instantly becomes one size smaller and a Duplicate of it is created in an unoccupied space nearest to the target. Henceforth the Duplicate is referred to as the Duplicate and the target of the spell as the Original. The Duplicate is identical in form and function to the newly shrunken Original, except that it has a Hit Point Maximum equal to half as many hit points as the Original had at the time of the duplication (rounded up) and its creature type is Ooze. The Duplicate is equipped with the same equipment worn and carried by the Original at the time of the duplication, excluding any magic items. The duplicated equipment is destroyed when the Duplicate is destroyed or when the spell ends. While the spell is active its effects apply to any Duplicates it creates as well as the Original. When a Duplicate is created its abilities are in the same state as they were for the Original at the time of the duplication, including expended uses of such things as spell slots or class features. The Duplicate cannot regain lost Hit Points, expended uses of its abilities, or expended spell slots.  In combat the Duplicate takes its turn immediately after the Original. It acts in its own interest but obeys any command given to it by the Original. When the spell ends every existing Duplicate of the Original created by the spell is destroyed and the Original's size is restored. If the spell ends while the Original is in a space too small to accommodate its usual size it is immediately shunted to the nearest unoccupied space that it can occupy and it takes force damage equal to twice the number of feet that it was moved.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a 9th Level Spell Slot its duration is instead Until Dispelled.
