Xephy's Shieldflock

You touch a willing creature. A cloud of small flying shields flies about their form. The creature is considered slightly obscured from view and in three quarters cover from all directions.

Diminishing In Number. In the event that a ranged or melee attack hits the target, reduce that damage to half and reduce the provided cover down to half-cover. If the creature is hit again, you may again reduce the damage to half the damage after which, the spell ends.

This spell does not prevent damage from area-of-effect spells and effects, or from effects that require a creature to make saving throws before inflicting damage.
