Breaking

This spell was created as a counterpart to the spell Mending by a spiteful wizard who wanted to do both things. This spell creates a single break or tear in an object you touch, such as a chain link breaking, a key being split in half, a cloak tearing, or a wineskin leaking. As long as the break or tear would be no larger than 1 foot in any dimension, you create it, leaving no trace of the former repair.

This spell can physically break a magic item or construct, but the spell can't destroy magic in such an object.
