As you conclude the ritual to release the energy of the spell, you hurl a blazing ball of light toward the point you designate, and it erupts into a brilliant hovering sphere.
When casting blistering radiance you choose a 5 foot space within range that a ball of light beaming a 50 foot radius aura positions itself. All creatures in the radius are blinded, and when casting the spell and at the start of each your turns the heat from the blistering radiance damages all object and creatures in the area, each creature makes a constitution saving throw, on a failure taking 2d6 radiant damage, half on a success. Like a fireball spell, blistering radiance erupts if it strikes any material body, solid barrier before reaching the targeted area, or if you end concentration on the spell. Instead of fire damage from the eruption it is radiant damage.
Blistering radiance counters or dispels any darkness spell of equal or lower level in its radius.
