Burst is the result of a failed Abjuration spell. Meant to create a medium sized shield in the direction the the user casts it, this spell fails either due to lack of experience or skill with the spell or lack of experience or skill with magic itself. This spell does 2d20 damage to any target within its range at first level. Every level up, this spell does an additional 1d20 to each target. This spell is only used for emergencies, and knocks the user down to 1 hp as well as knocks them out. If the spell fails, Burst only does 2d4 damage to each target, and an additional 1d4 damage per level up. If the spell succeeds, the user will wake after a short rest. If the spell fails, the user will wake after a long rest. In order for the spell to succeed, the player must get at least an 18 after rolling 1d20+CON. This spell can only be used once a week due to the toll it takes on the user’s body.
