When you are the target of a single target ranged attack, when this spell is cast, you attempt to beat the attack roll of the ranged attack using your spell attack modifier to open a portal that will store the attack within. If you fail, the portal will remain open until the start of your next turn or until you successfully capture a ranged attack.
Before the end of your next round, you can use your item interaction action to re-open the portal to make the attack that was stored within against another target using the attacking creature's attack and damage modifiers.
