Fire

You hurl a needle of fire at a creature or object within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d6 fire damage.

Fire Needle does not increase in damage, but can Sneak Attack. If successful, the caster can choose to forgo damage for effects, listed below:

Cripple:
Reduce speed by up to 20ft on hit. For every 5ft, the caster loses 1d6 from their sneak attack damage. The speed reduction ends on the end of the target's next turn.

Reveal:
Cover the target in a warm, orange glow on hit. The target loses all benefits from half and three-quarters cover, and emits a bright light out to ten feet. If the target is invisible, their invisibility does not end, but the glow will reveal their position. The glow lasts until the end of the target's next turn, and to activate this ability, the caster must give up 1d6 from their sneak attack damage.

Expose:
Highlight an area of vulnerability for further damage, granting advantage on the caster's next attack. The advantage lasts until the end of the caster's next turn, and requires sacrificing half of their sneak attack die, rounded down.
