As an action, fire a round of ammunition into the air. That arrow transforms into a glass bird. The bird has a flying speed of 30 feet and 1 hit point. You may look through the bird's eyes as if they were yours for the duration, and you may see through your own eyes at the same time. You have advantage on perception checks for the duration. If the bird moves more than 60 feet away from you, or it drops to 0 hit points, it will explode and any creature in a 10 foot radius must make a dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 piercing damage, halved on a success. Additionally, that area becomes difficult terrain, and any creature that tries to move through it for the next 3 turns has its movement halved and must make a dexterity saving throw or take an extra d4 slashing damage.
You may spend a bonus action to command the bird to self destruct, causing it to explode immediately.
At higher levels, add 1d6 to the explosion damage and 1d4 to the continual damage per slot level above the first.
