An arrow made of blood streaks from your veins towards a target within range and pierces them before the poisoning them. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 4d4 piercing damage immediately and poison damage at the end of its next turn equal to your spellcasting ability modifier. On a miss, the arrow splashes the target with poison for half as much of the initial damage and no damage at the end of its next turn.
This spell’s damage increases when you reach certain levels. At 5th level, the initial attack deals an extra 2d4 piercing damage to the target on a hit (6d4), and the secondary poison damage to the target creature increases to 2d4 + your spellcasting ability modifier. Both damage rolls increase by 2d4 at 11th level (8d4 and 4d4) and 17th level (10d4 and 6d4).
(( Full respect and apologies to 123abcpies who originally posted this cantrip, this is a modified version to scale properly with other cantrips. Full credit where it is due for a really cool concept. ))
