Alchemical Appraisal

Four incorporeal flasks of various colored chemicals emerge into existence around the caster. The caster decides the damage type of each of the flasks excluding slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage. At the will of the caster, which can be initiated at the initial casting of the spell, the flasks are forcefully projected at high velocities toward a target that is in line of sight. The target must succeed a Dexterity saving throw or take 4d4 damage with each 1d4 dealing its own respective damage type. A successful Dexterity saving throw results in only half the flasks impacting the target and dealing half damage. The flasks that impact on a successful Dexterity save will be determined by having the caster select 2 Damage Types they desire to hit proceeded by a 1d4 roll. Rolling a 3 or 4 results in these 2 damage types hitting the target while rolling a 1 or 2 causes the unselected damage types to hit.

The target will be coated in these alchemical liquids for the duration of 1 minute. During this duration, any resistances or immunities that correlate with a damage type selected by the caster will be exposed in the form of the liquid becoming luminescent. Any weaknesses that correlate with a damage type selected by the caster will be exposed in the form of the liquid chemically reacting with observable fizzling and bubbling. Damage types that deal normal, unmodified damage simply coat the target without any luminosity or chemical reactivity.

A caster can expend a bonus action to cast the spell in place of an action if the target was previously hit by the same spell regardless of who cast it.

This spell cannot be cast at higher levels.
