A spell that, within a specified area, will drastically increase the friction of every object that is not organic, including liquids and gasses such as the atmosphere.
Within the Friction Area: Choose any area 6000 cubic feet or less in volume. Within that area, all targets must not make any movement action or take 20 + 2d8 Fire damage for every 5 feet of movement taken within it. If the target makes an attack action, they take 1d8 Fire damage.
Outside of the Friction Area: All non-spell ranged attacks are made with disadvantage, and one must roll a d20 and beat or meet 10 for their shot not to instantly disintegrate upon entering the space. Water that enters into the space at a speed greater than 10 feet per second will evaporate instantly.
