Arcane word: Zan

You unleash boomerangs of slicing wind against  a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target or pair of targets within 5ft of each other. On a hit, the target takes 1d4 slashing damage. As a bonus action the projectile returns after passing through the creature or creatures. make another ranged spell attack to hit dealing another 1d4 slashing damage to the targets hit on its way back.

The spell creates more than one blade when you reach higher levels: two blades at 5th level, three blade at 11th level, and four blades at 17th level. You can direct the blades at the same target or at different ones. Make a separate attack roll for each blade.
