You call forth a glimmer of intelligence in an undead creature's eyes.
This spell grants intelligence to mindless undead such as skeletons and zombies. Undead creatures with Intelligence scores are unaffected.
A mindless undead gains an Intelligence score of 2d6. The awakened undead cannot be more intelligent than a living creature of the same kind.
Awakened undead regain their memories, as well as the proficiencies they had in life. In addition, they regain any extraordinary racial abilities they may have had in life. Finally, awakened undead gain advantage on saving throws to resist attempts to turn or control them.
