Chains of Dark Earth

You choose a flat 5x5 space that you can see. From that space shoots 2 obsidian chains which grab a chosen creature's wrists and/or ankles, who must then make a strength saving throw, and forcefully pulls them back to it's source, slamming the target into that surface on a failed saving throw, dealing fall damage equal to how far they were pulled. On a successful save,  the creature is only pulled half the distance to the chains' source before they shatter. The chains' shackles shatter on impact with their origin surface.

At level 5 this spell's chains have a reach of 120ft; at level 8 a range of 150ft; at level 12 the maximum number of targets becomes 2; and at level 16 a range of 200ft.
