You bend a small amount of water into the shape of a long, vicious whip. Make a ranged spell attack against a creature you can see within range. On a hit, the target takes 4d6 bludgeoning damage. The creature must then succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be restrained. On each of your turns for the spell's duration, while the creature is still restrained, you can use your action to squeeze the restrained creature dealing 3d6 bludgeoning damage.
The restrained creature can use their action to make a Strength check against your spell save DC. On a success, the creature is freed and the spell ends.
At Higher Levels. You can create one additional whip if you cast this spell using a 4th level spell slot or higher. If the same creature is hit with both whips, their Dexterity saving throw is at disadvantage. The Strength check to free themselves from being restrained is also at disadvantage.
