Through the use of either magics, technologies or a mixture of the two, this spell allows the caster to forcibly open a 10x10ft gate to another dimension. The gate remains active for the duration of the spell, however a creature within 5ft of the gate may use their action to make an Arcana Check against the casters Spell Save DC. On a success, the materials used to conjure the gate are disturbed in a way that forcibly closes the gate. As long as the gate was not forcibly closed, if the caster casts the spell on the same 10x10ft area they may forgo the use of materials in the casting.

The gate is linked to a dimension of the DMs choice or a dimension which the caster has previously opened a gate to. Gates created in the same location will always link to the same dimension.

At the end of the turn after casting this spell, roll a d20. On a 10 or higher a creature, of the DMs choice, from the linked dimension emerges from the gate. Creatures larger then the gate itself cannot emerge from the gate. Repeat this throw at the end of each turn until the gate collapses, however the number required for a creature to emerge increases by 1 for each turn that passes as the gate grows more and more unstable.

If this spell is cast on the same location every day for an entire year then the gate remains permanently or until it is forcibly closed. The number needed for a monster to emerge stays at a 10 or higher if the gate becomes permanent regardless of how much time has passed.

At higher levels, if this spell is cast using a 5th-level slot or higher the gate expands to 15x15ft, with a 7th-level slot or higher the gate expands to 20x20ft and with a 9th-level slot the gate expands to a 30x30ft space.
