Through complex chanting and odd symbols, you focus on one creature within range, and foretell and alter the fabric of time, cursing the creature of choice. The target must make a Charisma saving throw.
On a successful save, the creature takes 4d10 radiant or necrotic damage (your choice), the target cannot be targeted by this spell again until you've completed a long rest, and the spell ends.
On a failed save, choose one specific trigger (Such as the target stepping on holy ground, looking at itself on a mirror, or drinking a specific beverage) and a specific non-permanent malicious event(Such as being blinded, falling prone, or having it's strength score lowered to 3). Whenever the trigger activates, the creature is vexed by your prediction and the event takes place. The trigger cannot be completely unavoidable by the target (Such as breathing, blinking, eating, and the like), and the event cannot cause the target any damage. The event can only cause one condition, alter one ability modifier, or cause one other non-permanent effect.
If the trigger is continuos, such as the creature entering a given area, the event and any effects caused by it will remain until the trigger is deactivated . If the trigger is instantaneous, such as killing a specific creature, the event and it's effects will last to a maximum of 1 minute.
At your DM's discretion, you might need to specify the trigger and event to ensue. For instance, 'whenever the target causes the death of a creature' might not be a specific enough trigger for the spell, opting instead for 'killing any bovine beast'.
A creature can only be subject to one curse caused by this spell. If you attempt to cast this spell on a currently cursed creature, the spell fails to cast, but the material components are consumed.
A Wish, Remove Curse or Greater Restoration of equal or higher to that of the spell slot used to cast the curse can remove it's effects.
You can target across any distance, and even across the different planes of existence. However, if you attempt to curse a target in a plane different than yours, there's a 10% chance that the curse will fail to reach it.
* - (A body part or the like from the target of the spell (This cannot be replaced by a spellcasting focus, component pouch, or otherwise), an altar made of bone, herbs or similar materials, and burning incense worth 800 gp in total, all of which the spell consumes)
