Choose a single object (No bag of items) within 60ft you can see that isn’t being worn or carried and no heavier than 5lbs. The object is flung in a straight line up to 90ft in a direction you choose. Anything in its path must make a Dex Save, the first to fail is stuck by the object otherwise it falls to the ground at the end of its 90ft line path. On a failed save, the object hits and both the object and what it strikes take 3d8 bludgeoning damage. At the DM's Discretion objects can or may potentially add or alter the spells damage and/or effects.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the maximum weight that you can lift with this spell increases by 5lbs, and the damage increases by 1d8, for each slot level above 1st.

Examples using object properties with this spell. (DM Discretion)
  • Using an alchemist's fire (flask) on hit would cause normal effects plus an extra 1d4 fire damage at the start of the targets turns, and as an action make a DC 10 Dexterity check to extinguish the flames.
  • Using a poison vial (basic) on hit would cause normal effects plus an extra 1d4 poison damage on a failed Con Save (Dependent on the different variations of acid/poisons).
  • Using a +1 dagger would increases the DC by +1 and on hit deal piercing damage instead plus 1 damage. (DC+1, 3d8 piercing +1) (missing the target may hinder reclaiming objects)
  • Using a stone enchanted by the spell Magic Stone deals 3d8 bludgeoning damage plus the caster's spellcasting ability modifier. (3d8+ Spell Mod)
  • Using a 2nd level spell slot: A 7lb great axe would deal 3d8 + 1d12 slashing damage instead. (Upscales a D8 to 1d12)
