Upon casting the spell, the caster gains 3 points of corruption. You create a wall of cascading darkness within range. You can make the wall up to 100 feet long, 20 feet high, and 1 foot thick. The wall blocks line of sight.
When the wall appears, each creature within its area must make a wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 6d8 void damage and gains 3 levels of corruption. On a successful save, they take half as much damage and do not get corrupted.
One side of the wall, chosen by you when the spell is cast, deals 6d8 void damage to any creature that ends their turn within 10 feet of that side. A creature that decides to walk through the wall has their corruption doubled while taking 6d8 void damage and gaining 3 levels of corruption.
