You tap the magical item used as the spell's component three times. Doing so will instantly form a mystical bond between you and that item. This magic item must be of uncommon rarity or less, otherwise the spell fails to take effect. Until this spell ends, you treat this magic item as if you were attuned to it, even if you do not have any unused attunement slots remaining. You do not learn of the items magic properties when you cast this spell, but you can experiment during its duration in order to discover them on your own.
The spell ends if you are no longer touching the bonded magic item, or if you cast this spell again.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the maximum rarity of the magic item that you may bond to increases by one rarity tier for each slot level above 4th. So when cast at 5th level you may bond to a rare item, or a very rare item at 6th level.
