Corpse Explosion

Choose one corpse made of flesh and bone within range; the remains swell and erupt violently with necrotic energy, splinters of bones and gore are blasted outwards in all directions originating from the carcass. The corpse along with all non-magical items worn or on the creature is destroyed. When targeting an undead creature with at least 1 hp who is not controlled or frightened by you, that creature must succeed on a Constitution save to resist the effect of this spell, creatures that succeed on this save cannot be targeted by this spell for another 24 hours.

Each enemy within the blast radius must succeed a Dexterity save or receive necrotic damage and be knocked prone. Successful saves receive half damage and are not knocked prone. The diameter and the damage of the explosion are both based on the quality and size of the target corpse. If the corpse quality was moderate or good the area is also showered in blood and is heavily obscured for 1d4 rounds.

Size effects the blast radius and damage die.

• Tiny: 1-foot radius, 1d4 necrotic damage.
• Small: 5-foot radius, 1d6 necrotic damage.
• Medium: 15-foot radius, 2d8 necrotic damage.
• Large: 30-foot radius, 2d10 necrotic damage.
• Huge: 60-foot radius, 2d12 necrotic damage. (6th level spell slot required)
• Gargantuan: 100-foot radius, 2d20 necrotic damage. (8th level spell slot required)

The condition of the corpse applies a multiplier to the number of assigned damage die.
(This does not apply to Tiny corpses)

• Rotted/Moderate: x2
• Withered/Poor: x1

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a 5th-level spell slot or higher, the number of large or smaller size targets is increased by 1 for each level beyond 4th. When using a 6th-level or higher spell slot, you may select a huge target rather than multiple smaller creatures, and with an 8th-level you may choose two huge corpses or a corpse of gargantuan size.
