Black Shield

You place a black shield around a ally creature you can see within range. The shield has 3d8 hit points. While the spell lasts the shielded creature can't gain any conditions, though conditions they already have continue to effect them as normal.Whenever the shielded creature would take damage from a spell or magical effect, the shield takes the damage instead. If this damage reduces the shield to 0 hit points, you take any remaining damage, the spell then ends.
