You create an immensely embarrassing illusion surrounding a creature, making it appear as if all of its hair has fallen out. Each of the creature's allies within 20 feet of it that can see it must make a Charisma saving throw or burst into a fit of laughter, falling prone and becoming incapacitated for the duration. A creature that succeeds is not affected and deduces that their shiny, bald head is, in fact, just an illusion. A creature with an Intelligence score of 4 or lower isn't affected. For each creature that fails the saving throw and begins laughing, the target takes 1d6 emotional damage (psychic). This damage is only dealt the first time a creature fails the save.

At the beginning of each of its turns, and each time it takes damage, a laughing creature can make another Charisma saving throw. If this saving throw is triggered by damage, the creature has advantage on the saving throw. On a successful save, the effect ends on the creature and it stops laughing.

If the target of the spell is covered in hair (such as a bugbear or a wolf), creatures have disadvantage on all Charisma saving throws made to not laugh due to the utter hilarity of the image. Similarly, the spell has no effect if it targets a creature that has no hair, or is bald.
