You imbue an your arrow with frost magic. Make a normal attack or a spell attack role (highest bonus to hit is). Your control over said magic allows you to manipulate the arrows properties chose one of the following.
Icicle
After dealing the base (standard attack) arrow damage of your attack with an additional 2d8 piercing damage (magical). The target make a constitution saving throw against your spell save DC , if the fail they take 5d8 frost damage, if they succeed they take half as much damage.
Shatter
After dealing the base (standard attack) arrow damage of your attack with an additional 1d8 piercing damage (magical) on the target hit directly by this arrow. The target and any creature within 15ft. All creatures make a dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. If they fail each creature takes 3d8 frost damage, if they succeed they take half as much.
Freezing shot
After dealing the base (standard attack) arrow damage of your attack with an additional 1d8 piercing damage (magical). The target then makes a constitution saving throw on a fail the target takes 2d8 damage. There speed is halved (or reduced by 15ft whichever is higher), they have disadvantage on weapon attack, and must succeed a constitution saving throw against your spell save DC whenever the target chooses to perform a 1 action or longer spell that requires somatic components (movement, hand actions ect) or the use of a reaction these effects last until the start of the caster's round. On a success the target speed is reduced by 15ft (if base speed is above 25ft) this effect last until the start of the caster's round, takes half damage and no other effects are applied
Any creature killed by this spell may be encased in ice if the caster wishes (much like the effect of cone of cold).
All effects that the magical weapon, arrow, or due to a spell on the target (hunter's mark) work in conjunction with this spell as if it was a normal attack. Some examples are +1/2/3 bows. Arrows of Slaying and "Lightning arrow". The spell is instantaneous an only affect one arrow. You use this spell instead of attacking multiple times with your bonus attacks.
If cast at 5th level.On Icicle the frost damage is increased by 2d8 and the piecing damage increases by 1d8. On all the other effects frost damage increases by 1d8.
