A small disc of lightning shoots out from you and travels along the ground to a creature you can see within range. It may travel along any solid or liquid surface, even walls and ceilings, but cannot separate from surfaces or cross gaps, and has a speed of 150 feet. It always takes the shortest available route, but attempts to avoid touching any creature that isn't the target.
When the disc reaches the target, it takes 1d4 lightning damage for every 20 feet that the disc traveled along surfaces (minimum of 1 lightning damage). The target must also succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of your next turn.
If the target disappears before the disc reaches it, the disc stops moving until they reappear, the spell ends, or another creature touches the disc and is hit by the spell. The disc is dispelled if it hits a creature or travels more than 300 feet.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage die becomes a d6.
