You provide an offering to the nature gods of old, and perform a savage ritual to bestow beastial power to a non-lycanthrope humanoid of your choice within range, which can be yourself. The creature must be within range for the entire casting of the spell. A creature targeted by this spell must make a constitution saving throw against your spell DC or become a true lycanthrope, or it can choose to fail the save.

A creature who becomes a true lycanthrope retains his or her alignment and statistics. The character gains immunity to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks that aren't Silvered. The lycanthrope can use its action to polymorph into a beast-humanoid hybrid or into a beast, or back into its true form, which is humanoid. Its statistics are the same in each form. The character can’t speak or benefit from armor while in beast form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed, and the lycanthrope can still wield weapons while in hybrid form. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

The lycanthropy can only be cured by a remove curse or greater restoration spell on the lycanthrope during a full moon, or by means of a wish spell.

The character is proficient with the lycanthrope’s natural attacks, such as its bite or claws. Your natural weapon attacks use your strength or dexterity for attack and damage rolls (determined by your type of lycanthropy), count as unarmed strikes, and have a reach of 5 feet. A non-lycanthrope humanoid hit by an attack with a natural weapon while in hybrid or beast form must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + the lycanthrope’s proficiency bonus + the lycanthrope’s Constitution modifier) or be cursed with their form of lycanthropy at the end of their next long rest.

The blood you use as the material component for this spell must be one of the following: bat, bear, boar, tiger, or wolf. Your lycanthropy is determined by which beast you choose. The following features apply to specific lycanthropes:

Werebat: The character gains a Dexterity of 17 if his or her score isn’t already higher and gains the keen hearing and sunlight sensitivity traits. The werebat has blindsight out to a range of 60 feet as long as it’s not deafened.

- Speeds: 30 ft. climb 30 ft. in bat or hybrid form, fly 60 ft. in bat or hybrid form

- Nimble Escape (Humanoid Form Only). The werebat can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of its turns.

- Multiattack. In bat or hybrid form, the werebat makes two attacks, only one of which can be with its bite.

- Bite (Bat or Hybrid Form Only). (dexterity) Melee Weapon Attack: (1d6) piercing damage, and the werebat gains temporary hit points equal to the piercing damage dealt.

Werebear: The character gains a Strength of 19 if his or her score isn’t already higher, and a +1 bonus to AC while in bear or hybrid form while not wearing armor. The character also gains the keen smell trait.

- Speeds: 40 ft. climb 30 ft. in bear or hybrid form

- Multiattack. In bear or hybrid form, the werebear makes two claw attacks.

- Bite (Bear or Hybrid Form Only). (strength) Melee Weapon Attack: (2d10) piercing damage.

- Claw (Bear or Hybrid Form Only). (strength) Melee Weapon Attack: (2d8) slashing damage.

Wereboar: The character gains a Strength of 17 if his or her score isn’t already higher, and a +1 bonus to AC while in boar or hybrid form while not wearing armor. If the wereboar takes 14 damage or less that would reduce it to 0 hit points, it is reduced to 1 hit point instead. It regains the ability to do so after a short or long rest.

- Speeds: 30 ft. 40 ft. in boar form

- Charge (Boar or Hybrid Form Only). If the wereboar moves at least 15 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with its tusks on the same turn, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) slashing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC (8 + the character’s proficiency bonus + Strength modifier) Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

- Multiattack (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). The wereboar makes two attacks, only one of which can be with its tusks.

- Tusks (Boar or Hybrid Form Only). (strength) Melee Weapon Attack: (2d6) slashing damage.

Weretiger: The character gains a Strength of 17 if his or her score isn’t already higher, and gains the keen hearing and smell trait.

- Speeds: 30 ft. 40 ft. in tiger form

- Pounce (Tiger or Hybrid Form Only). If the weretiger moves at least 15 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC (8 + the character’s proficiency bonus + Strength modifier) Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the weretiger can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.

- Multiattack (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). In hybrid form it can make two claw attacks.

- Bite (Tiger or Hybrid Form Only). (strength) Melee Weapon Attack: (1d10) piercing damage.

- Claw (Tiger or Hybrid Form Only). (strength) Melee Weapon Attack: (1d8) slashing damage.

Werewolf: The character gains a Strength of 15 if his or her score isn’t already higher, and a +1 bonus to AC while in wolf or hybrid form while not wearing armor. The character also gains the pack tactics and keen hearing and smell traits.

- Speeds: 30 ft. 40 ft. in wolf form

- Multiattack. (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). The werewolf makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws (hybrid form).

- Bite (Wolf or Hybrid Form Only). (strength) Melee Weapon Attack: (1d8) piercing damage.

- Claws. (Hybrid Form Only). (strength) Melee Weapon Attack: (2d4) slashing damage.
