Posted Sep 7, 2022Hello, Thought I'd try to help you improve your spell, the idea is cool. I'd recommend reading through some of the spells in the phb (if you have it) or the basic rules, then use them as a kind of template. Some things you might look at adjusting are as follows:
1. Three actions is an incredibly long time (you could kill a bug bear in that time) and it's made even more extreme as the spell only lasts one round (if the party is smaller than 5 players this spell would just cause them to lose there caster for a round rounds. Also does the spell require concentration?
2. Does the spell give the effected creatures an extra initiative or dose it let them attack twice?
3. How many creatures is "your team" (its called a party)? is that all PCs or all PCs and NPCs? Does that include familiars and pets?
4. Try to be a bit more descriptive
5. Why is it just available for one subclass?? especially one that isn't in the core books? Its would work well for bards and maybe even arcane trickster. also i recommend adding it to the wizard class.
6. maybe try and re-work it a little bit to make it fit with the dnd play style, if you haven't played much yet maybe shelf the idea and come back to it later.
A bit more info, so rather then move you could use turn or action, I'd say if its a whole turn keep it 4th level but it u make it action then I recommend making it a 3rd maybe a 2nd level spell
