When you cast this spell you may target any creature within range (including yourself) and any distance that the creature moves on its turn will be added to a pool of forced movement, triggering at the end of each of its turn.
For every 5 feet of movement the affected creature moves on its turn, it will be carried that same amount of distance at the end of its turn. This distance is additive, bypasses ground-based difficult terrain, and will not decrease unless the creature moves in the opposite direction during its turn, subtracting distance instead of adding it. Unless it is capable of flight, it may not add or subtract distance from the forced movement unless it is 5 feet (10 feet with reach) from the ground or some other object that it can push off of.
Forced movement distance is also added whenever the creature is pushed, thrown, or riding a vehicle.
If the spell lasts more than one round, the distance of forced movement is not decreased by forced movement being triggered unless forced movement slams you into an object too large to move, such as a creature two sizes larger than you, an immobile wall, a large tree, or similar items.
When you are forcibly stopped during forced movement, you take d8 bludgeoning damage die equal to the amount of forced distance you are traveling divided by 40, rounded down.
At higher levels: When you cast a spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the duration of the spell is extended by an additional 2 rounds for every spell level above 1st.
