You create 3 tentacle-like appendages. Each tendril hits a creature of your choice you can see within range. One a failed Dexterity saving throw, a tendril deals 1d4+2 necrotic damage to its target as well grapples and incapacitates the target until the end of your next turn. You can target multiple creatures, however, if you choose to have more than one tentacle target the same creature, each additional tentacle imposes a -1 modifier to the creature’s saving throw.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the spell creates one more tentacle for each slot level above 3rd.
