Breaching into the mind of a creature you can see within range, you attempt to distort their very being. That creature must make a Charisma saving throw, taking 6d12 psychic damage on a failure and only half as much on a success. If the target is dropped to 0 HP by this spell, it becomes transformed into a Gibbering Mouther with HP equal to the HP of the target before you cast this spell. The Gibbering Mouther is under no completion to follow orders given to it, but will not attack you unless you take hostile action towards it.

A creature transformed by this spell remains transformed until healed by a spell such as greater restoration or similar magic. Spells such as remove curse and dispel magic have no effect on a transformed creature.
