Using the drops of water required for the spell, you magically spread at most five out in a line in front of you. While in the air, the drops of water freeze into snowflakes with sharp edges. These snowflakes are then propelled at a target you can see within range. Each target must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a fail, the target takes 5d6 cold damage and 5d6 piercing damage or half as much on a successful save.
Alternatively., you can converge all snowflakes into one snowflake against one target and deal 6d6 cold damage and 6d6 piercing damage.
The snowflakes can penetrate any sheet of cloth at least 3 feet thick, any wood at least 1 foot thick, any stone at least 6 inches thick, and any metal at least half an inch thick.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each spell slot above 5th.
