You whisper an incantation and a dart of magical power carries a seed and buries it beneath the skin of a target, where it takes root and begins drawing vitality from that target. If the target is a dead body or is killed by this spell the seed blossoms into a five foot wide crimson flower that bears a single bone white fruit that heals anyone who eats it.
The target must make a Constitution saving throw taking 4d4 + your spellcasting modifier necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Undead targets have disadvantage on this saving throw and takes 8d4 + your spellcasting modifier necrotic damage instead and is paralyzed until the end of your next turn on a failed save and half as much on a successful one and they don't become paralyzyed. If that target dies from this damage it creates a fruit that if eaten heals the person who eats it for 2d4 + your spellcasting modifier hit points.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you deal an additional 4d4 necrotic damage, and the fruit heal you an addition 2d4 hit points. Undead targets take an additional 6d4 per spell level instead.
