As an action, you target creatures of your choice within range, you ring the bell as your material component and it turns to mist, the echoing ‘ding’ every six seconds being the only thing they hear until the spell ends. This mist spreads out from the caster, covering the whole of the 100 feet, creating a zone of total obscurity to all on the outside who look in. From the mist rises the entities created by the spell, all of which take the form of every target creature’s worst fears. These entities are tangible but can only interact with the individual target that fears them. They can take the form of any creature, item, idea, or location and subject their victims to their worst fear imaginable. For example, if someone were to have a fear of drowning they will believe they are submerged and are too deep to reach the surface in time, and if someone believes they are drowning, they will drown.
All targeted creatures must make a Wisdom saving throw or drop whatever they are holding and become terrified for the duration. If they are attacked, they may make a wisdom save at advantage to break free from the spell.
If a creature is terrified after the final bell is rung, they must make a constitution saving throw, on a failed save the creature falls unconscious and cannot be woken up without the power of a wish spell. Until that happens they will be stuck in their own mind, trapped with their darkest fears.
