Conjure Rabid Animal

Choose a beast of CR 1/4 or lower, such as a Wolf or a Draft Horse, (The GM has the creatures' statistics) and choose an unoccupied spot within range. The summoned creature appears there, and will obey any command you give it to the best of its ability (no action is required on your part to command the animal). If given no commands, it will defend itself from hostile creatures but otherwise take no actions. In combat, it takes its turn immediately after yours. The animal summoned will be visibly agitated for the entire duration of the spell.

If the spell ends by exceeding its duration, then the animal disappears. It also disappears if it drops to 0 hit points, as do any products of the animal (meat, fur, milk, etc). If your concentration on this spell is broken, then the creature is no longer under your control, and disappears after one minute. Until then, the animal is hostile to everything, and will attack the nearest creature it can see. If it cannot see any creatures, it will wreak havoc on any objects it can see nearby. If the animal takes damage, you are forced to make a Constitution saving throw to maintain concentration on the spell as if you had taken damage.

At Higher Levels. The maximum CR level of the creature increases with each spell slot level the spell is cast at. The maximum CR for each spell slot level is shown below. You may also summon creatures at a lower CR level than the maximum if desired (e.g. a CR 0 Cat or a CR 1/8 Poisonous Snake).
