You create an ice statue of someone you know well and fling it at one creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 4d6 bludgeoning damage. Whether a hit or miss the statue then falls to the ground within the same square as the target and you can choose to make it explode on your turn at will as long as the statue is within your line of sight. When you do, everything within a twenty-foot radius of the statue must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 3d6 cold damage plus 3d6 lightning, or half as much damage on a successful save as a storm explodes from the statue.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage of the explosion increases by 1d6 cold damage for every even level raised and 1d6 lighting damage for every odd level raised.
