The spell captures some of the momentum of any attack, spell or effect that deals bludgeoning, piercing or slashing damage, lessening its effect on you and storing it for your next melee attack.
You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage until the start of your next turn.
Also, the first attack on your next turn has a +2 bonus to hit and deals extra 1d10 damage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3nd level or higher, the extra damage increases by 1d10 and the attack bonus increases by 2 for each slot level above 2st.
So plus 2 bonus to hit dose that also mean a creature gets minus 2 to a save if its like burning hands or something?
