Acolyte's Reward

When a creature you can see would take damage, you can reduce the damage that would be dealt to the creature.

At first level: When you cast this spell at first level, You can reduce the damage dealt to a creature equal to your proficiency bonus. You gain temporary hit points equal to half the damage reduced this way.

At second level or higher: When you cast this spell at second level or higher, reduce an amount of damage equal to X times your proficiency bonus. X is equal to the spells level when cast. You gain temporary hit points equal to half the damage prevented this way.
