When you cast this spell you use the weave to decode a sample from a creature and draw information from it. The amount and detail of information gained is dependent on the quality and volume of the sample of the creature. The spell only receives information about the sampled creature’s natural, learned and divine abilities and does not account for spell effects or magic items.
Once the casting is finished the caster mentally receives information about the creature from which the sample originates. The amount gained includes information of all categories up to and including the respective number on the Quality of Sample table. The target must fail a wisdom saving throw against the caster's spell save DC in order for the information of numbers 18 and 19 to be received.
For the purposes of this spell, flesh includes any substance from the sampled creature that contained living cells while the creature was alive.
