A large, thin spear of corrupted blood forms in the air near the caster and shoots at a target creature within range. Make an attack roll against the target creature. On a hit, the creature takes 5d6 piercing damage.

Augment Levels. When you cast this spell, you can drain the blood from surrounding sources of blood to increase the range and damage of this spell at four different augment levels. Each augment level requires the use of a different body as a source of blood, if not the caster's. The caster can use their body to augment multiple levels, taking damage for each level done this way. External bodies must be either willing or dead.

Lvl 1. Blood Bolt  (90ft range) +1d6 piercing dmg (if augmented by caster) or +1d4 dmg (if augmented by external body)
Lvl 2. Blood Arrow (120ft range) +1d6 piercing dmg (if augmented by caster) or +1d4 dmg (if augmented by external body)
Lvl 3. Blood Javelin  (150ft range) +1d6 piercing dmg (if augmented by caster) or +1d4 dmg (if augmented by external body)
Lvl 4. Blood Lance (200ft range) +1d6 piercing dmg (if augmented by caster) or +1d4 dmg (if augmented by external body)
 

The external bodies each take 1d4 necrotic damage, or 1d6 necrotic damage if done by the caster (for each augment level added by the caster). The necrotic damage taken cannot be reduced in any way.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the base damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 4th.
