Your very old culture, passed down knowledge and magic makes you able to make a Gate that can be connected to several other gates you have made before. You can build a wayshrine that's 15 feet in length (the portal is 5 feet of it), 10 feet in width, and 20 in height (the portal is 10 feet of it). You can go in from both sides. The time it takes to build depends on the materials at hand and your condition. DM rules the time needed. You will have to work unhindered and can only sleep for a maximum of 6 hours per day building it. If not the progress that has been made will crumble and fall down. You cannot get help from someone who doesn't know how or have the magical abilities to make a Wayshrine (Wayshrine is lost magic - it is unlikely that others know how to make it, and it is impossible to teach others). It takes 1 hour to close it safely. You cannot forcefully close it (breaking it while the gate is open), and if you were to try, a kinetic force will deflect all attacks back to the dealer who receives the damage amount. As a Falmer, you know that your ancestors have made Wayshrines before, but the way you build them is a bit different than theirs. As part of how you make your Wayshrine, you must use your own blood to make it. You can do this once per week. You can have only 2 functioning gates at the same time. If you were to make another, the oldest gate you made will crumble and collapse. The spell level you can cast plus 1 is the number of creatures that may pass your gate. The gate will then collapse after the last creature passes the portal.
The gates are restricted to only work when both wayshrines are in the same plane of existence.
As part of your background, you may have made a Wayshrine somewhere before.
