the bottom of the cracks will be clouded by dark purple smoke and any who fall into the cracks fall into the abyss dimension, after the spell finishes the cracks will not refuse, but the smoke will disappear leaving a 60 foot deep ravine 

each creature that comes from the cracks does damage according to the creature manual
