Modes (Special: The effect of Receiving is in effect as long as the user likes as long as they aren’t using the other modes of Communicate, and Receiving may be in effect alongside 1 other passive ability)
Receiving (Passive): While this passive is in effect, you are open to the Reach Out, Detect, and Targeted Call abilities, and may manage what creatures are added to your contacts list.
Tune In (Cost: None): You tune into the Ravinia Public Radio system and may alternate through the various music, entertainment, and news channels. A creature in this mode may allow other creatures within 60 feet of them to hear the broadcast from them or may allow the sound to streaming out from around them for any creature to hear.
Contact Call (Cost: None): You call a creature that they have on their contact list from any range, regardless of whether they are in Receiving mode. You and the target are able to speak to each other telepathically to each other regardless of languages, so long as they are within the same planes of existence.
Reach Out (Cost: 1 Mana): You send out a message to any creature with Receiving active within a distance of up to 1 mile (the range of this mode is decided by the user). Creatures affect may choose whether or not to accept and hear the message and may add you to their own contact list if they so choose to.
Detect (Cost: 2 Mana): You attempt to detect the presence of creatures in Receiving mode within 240 feet of it. Creatures within this reach are entitled to making a Wisdom save to resist this effect. On a failed save, you know the general direction of the creature, but not its exact location or distance away from you, and the target is aware of the Detect usage. On a successful save, a creature’s whereabouts remain unknown, but the target is now aware of the attempt and you are made aware that there is a creature in Receiving mode somewhere in the range.
Targeted Call (Cost: None): You make an attempt to communicate with another creature within 240 feet of them, as though you were calling them. A creature in Receiving mode may choose to accept or decline this call and speak with the target as if it were a Contact Call. If the target is not in Receiving mode, they must make a Wisdom save to resist if they so choose, and they are only capable of listening to you while they are within range.
