A tongue of flame lashes forth from your hand to a creature you try to touch. Make a melee spell attack, with advantage if the target is scorched. On a hit, the target suffers 1d6 fire damage and becomes scorched until the end of your next turn.
Scorched. A scorched creature has disadvantage on Constitution saving throws to resist exhaustion or maintain concentration. If a scorched creature would gain this condition again, it instead takes another 1d6 fire damage. The condition ends early if the creature would become Chilled. A creature resistant or immune to fire damage is immune to this condition.
At Higher Levels. This spells damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6) and 17th level (4d6).
