You send forth an invisible wave of force that cuts everything in its path. Make a Ranged Spell Attack against each creature in a 20-foot cone that originates from you. A creature’s AC cannot benefit from armor or a shield for this spell. On a hit, a creature takes 10d10 slashing damage. Objects in the area also take damage. 

If any attack roll is a natural 1, a random nonhostile creature within 15 feet of the area of effect takes the same amount of damage; if no creature is close enough, the caster takes the damage.

At Higher Levels. If you cast this spell with a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the size of the cone increases to 40 feet (6th level), or 60 feet (9th level).
